I am still using more on one day and then have to wing it until I catch up again so I do not run out of pills. How long does it take to taper off this stuff...it is wicked and is now interfering with my life!
OK, this is your addiction but I can tell you how i handle mine. First: I cut all the pills in half and take only half doses. Second: Every other day , I take OTC drugs ( Aleve Liquigel) They work surprisingly well to eliminate the pain . Third, I write down my doses in a little note book.
This all works because i take narcotics to eliminate pain in my back, not pain in my soul or in my heart. And I strongly dislike not being in control of my life. You are blaming vicodin for your misery? Are you kidding? The pills don't come crawling out of the container and attack you? Your hands and arms put them into your body. You have a chronic illness called addiction. There is help for it but you have to ask for it. You work in the business. Use what you do for others for yourself. You are needed in your family, in your community and at work.
