I don't know what to do?!

I have been fat almost my whole life, I've been trying to lose weight, it was successful at times, but I don't know what made me stop, I was doing great my doctors said I had lost 17 pounds in three weeks, I was feeling proud of my self, but at the fourth week I began to lose my interest, and everyone kept saying I'm so proud of you and I got so mad because I was just starting, I don't know?!, I didn't feel so good when they said that, I liked being healthy and eating well, I just don't know what to do anymore, Can anyone help??

got a few questions. How much do you need to lose ? Also I know for me I had and still do when people notice I lost the weight and did tell me I was doing good and looked good. I did feel not good about the comments or attention, and feel in a way too I did not deserve them because we should just be healthy. So why shuold I get in a way praised for doing what so many do and what should be done. It is a struggle but you peaked my interest give more back ground some if you do not mind.

well, I want to start with 50 pounds, but my goal really is 100. I’m mostly confused on how to start, I mean where do I begin?? how much exercise?, I know about eating healthy and the portions I just need to figure out the rest, and I’m stuck I need help with the rest.

There's no magic # for amount of time spent exercising. As long as u consume less calories then u burn, u will lose weight. If u eat more calories then u burn, u will gain. Also note that when u are heavier the weight comes off quicker then plateaus, when that happens u need to up the intensity of the workouts.

You need to first eat enough to fuel for energy for true good work outs. I knwo days I eat very little maybe about 800 calories, I can burn that off but the weight will not come off due to adding to stress about not eating right and then also pretty much stopping my metabolism down. The calorie in calorie out is very important but it in my mind is not writen in stone. It comes down to proper sleep, proper food for fuel and not getting to stresses. Plus many other things.
As for starting the best thing is to find your flaws with food if you have any. For example like soda you drink it calorie free or not, cut it out or cut down to like one a day depending on what you do. Some people find sounds goofy but switching up your meals. Eat dinner for breakfast due to dinner is usually the highest calorie meal so if eaten in the morning it has all day to work off. Keep calorie intake well depending on what you do as far as work, daily activities and work outs. Meaning one day eat 1000 calories, then switch it to 1400 calories. You have to find the right balance for you. Look at losing in the start maybe about 15 pounds in the first month but then you need to be happy with 1-2 pounds a week and know you will hit platues at times especially if you have a good week in wieght lose the next week might not be anything. Do your measurements- due to maybe you lose no weight in a week but I will say your inches will change. I do mine once a month. Weighing independs on you. Weekly or twice weekly is good to stay on track I have to do it daily so I know I need to stay focused. As for work outs, start out at a good pace for about a week. Go for 1-3 mile walks about 4 days during the week. do some light resistance with bands or weights or water bottles if no money to by equipment. Get creative. After week one up the work outs try a light jog in entervals of 10- 15 seconds then walk again. Do this about 4-8 times in a mile. Jump rope, bike ride, I do a thing I call 1000's which is a time challenge to complete 1000 things, it includes jumping rope, jumping jacks, lunges, high knees, wall sit, sprint lines, different crunches. You make it up. DO this about once a week and try to improve on your time. You set your own bar. Find things you like that you will stick with. You may find things that you never thought of at first that you like but as time goes on and the weightcomes off you start to enjoy it more. You may not like anything at first, but if you want to cont. you need to find that love for one thing. Like I love high impact cardio. If you would have asked me that at 340 I would have laughed in your face. But in about 6 months I found that was the one thing I did enjoy. I enjoy striking, I enjoy raquetball, kayaking, biking, and jogging. And remember we were build to eat only for life and fuel not for mental stress or problems we are having. Our stomachs are technically full if you eat the amount of food that if you fist up your hand. Taht is the size of our stomach. We have learned in this society that we need so much larger protions, but to feel at your best keep your fist in mind in every meal you eat. Eat 3-5 times a day depending on the calories and what you are eating. Slowly as time goes on and you lose the weight if there are other things like I mentioned on the soda that you can get rid of do it or cut back on it. If you eat fast food 3 times a week or more make it half that.

You can do it sorry this was so long but there is so much I could tell you in the easy part of it to the challenges I face with losing wieght and keeping it off.

I like the idea of the 1000's way to keep it fresh and exciting

you two the thing about 1000's and other types of exercise I do. is that the bar you set is yours only. you are not competing against any one else. It also can be done with very little equipment all you need is a few things and your own self. I am also very competative so that helps due to I try to beat my own time every time. I have a stat board with times on it for about 8 exercises I do and even though now days it is hard to beat due to pain and meds. I still try. Remember in 1000's you want about half to be some type of cardio and the other half to be self resistance like wall sits or lunges, crunches, push ups. But have them inter mixed. 1 or 2 cario and then 1 or 2 resistance. I do also in 1000's run lines I set up 2 cones 25 yards away from each other and each cone sprinted to is 1 rep. I do 5 of these. You want to do one thing and that is remember the set up so right it down before you start and think about the order you are doing it in, and keep that the same. Also if you do sprints make sure the distance is the same all the time. When I started doing this one exercise it took me 28 mins. fastest time is just under17 min. most of the time I do get between 19 and 22 min. now days depending on pain and how I feel that day. If you are competative there are many other things you can do too. I do many things that are timed and just a lot of fun. that is what keeps me motivated. If you have kids, hell get them involved have them time you and then you time them and log the times.
good luck if you try it let me know what you think about it.
