I don't understand why I feel so tired days after a attack

I don't understand why I feel so tired days after a attack. I am on singular and Symbicort. I cannot take another regiment of steroids because I already did to many. I am doing ipratropium treatments 4 times a day. I hate my rescue inhaler because it jacks up my heart rate well over 100. If I push myself I get a chestpain so much that it doubles me over. I am normally hyperactive and it just kills me to be in this state of weakness and all I want to do is sleep after a attack. It seems it takes 5 days after a attack. I almost wezz but the rapid breathing and wanting to sleep is my first indicator. I just dont understand that after a attack why do I feel tired and weak when I feel I am moving air.

Because your body is going through a traumatic experience every time you have an attack and it needs to rest in order to heal. Hugs and welcome!

@CKBlossom Thank you…

Let us know how that x-ray turned out. Hope you didn't end up with pneumonia. I had asthma, but it got to where my lungs just never would straighten out, so they upgraded me to COPD. I am on steroids ALL the time now. I hope you don't get to that point.

My pulmonary doc said I shouldn't do steroids more than 3 times and I already did 5 times in a yr. Just got out of xray. Have results next tue to my pulmonary doc. Makes matters worse I do test and balance for a living. I measure air & water in quantities. So I help to correct negative pressure in bldgs (sick building syndrome) so I am exposed to mold im sure. My asthma is brought on from allergies. 2 yrs ago I got a infection that caused me to cough up green. Now I am getting a attack every 2-3months. I don't have mold in lungs or anti bodys in my blood now but it seems mold is one of my allergies now. Going to take a allergen test soon to see what else I am allergic soon. The 2 known now are almonds and penicillin. I passed a basic test but pulmonary doc wants me to be tested further. The other attack I had was a back to back within days and was so quick and sudden I almost didn't make it down from a attic. That one freaked out my pulmonary doc because it was too quik. Thanks for your time and patience this is depressing to me at times..

@Leonardlennymon I know all about the depression. I hope your doctor gets everything figured out for you. Just in case you are interested in homeopathy ways of relief, I can give you some ideas on that. Right now, I am looking into a Pink Himalayan salt inhaler. I know, that sounds funny, but I keep gradually getting worse, so I do what I can to feel good. I hope you get better over the weekend. I will check in over the weekend to see if you want any home remedy ideas. Hugs!
