i feel like i have depression and everytime i tell my mom she says she'll get me therapy but never does...idk if im crazy of what but i feel lost
Your not crazy. Depression is legit and soo many people go through it. Your not alone.
@SpoonfulOfHanii that’s the thing i don’t know for sure if i have it and that is what’s scaring me
Kimberly every human goes through depression or saddness in their lives. You might now be diagnosed with clinical depression but depending on your situation at the time it could happen. Anything that is making you feel down?
@SpoonfulOfHanii everything makes feel sad. my health problems is a main one. my family. my “friends”. yesterday my two friends told me they want to stop talking to me cause they feel like i was using them for concert tickets and that i intimidate them and how they way i look makes them feel bad…i just feel that because of my insecurities, i try so hard to be pretty and now im loosing friends cause of it. that sounds narcissistic, but i swear im not! this is just so hard
What is it you feel depressed about? If you are in school, you can always go to the nurse or the guidance counselor and tell them what you are going through. If you cant get your mom to get you help, those two people may be able to help you and help get your mother to get you the help and support you need. Until then, We are all here to help keep you going and be what ever support you need.
A sense of feeling lost is not uncommon when you are depressed.
@zombiepenguin im scared to go to anyone in my school! i feel like they will judge me and just tell my mom im going crazy! i already have health issues that my school knows about and they all treat me different because of it, i don’t want to add to that awkward feeling i get eerytime someone from school looks or talks to me
Your young. Life is the most difficult when trying to find yourself. What health problem?
i have epilepsy,,,seizures...i don't get the physical problem just the mental problem of it and it affected my school work so much! i miss tons of days of school and im very much behind on work...i cant do thing independently anymore, that only gets me so depressed
@kimberlytorres I am sorry to hear you have epilepsy. I can tell you from personal experience that kids have a very hard time understanding illness when they have never faced anything more than a common cold. They simply dont know how to handle it, so it can make them mean or cruel at times. Mostly because they are afraid of what the dont understand. I know that you can be brave and strong, you’re showing us that here. Don’t let stupid kids who dont understand what you are going through put you down. And having depression isnt uncommon when someone as young as you have to deal with a medical condition that is frightening at times and it can make you feel like you cant do anything you really want to do anymore. I went through that when I was in school. You will be independent again. You will find your way through this. Just dont give up hope and stay strong. Your epilepsy doesn’t define you so don’t let it control you and your ambitions and dreams.
Be brave. This is you doing something to help yourself and that's never a bad thing.
