I feel like I'm watching my dad stop loving me more every day and it hurts more than I could've imagined
I am so sorry you feel that way. I am assuming your Father is suffering from dementia due to illness and or age. If you had a good relationship with him before the dementia started--hang onto those memories. He still loves you and always will. Unfortunately this world is not fair, but his love and all your times together will never die as long as you keep them in your heart. You might if you haven't already start showing him pictures of you two, play his favorite music, put on his favorite movies/tv shows. And of course, tell him about your favorite memories of you two together, and or a funny joke/story. Your Father is still here, unfortunately he just can't communicate like he used to. Hang in there.
