I find now that I have tinnitus starting now in my other ear the noises are making me so ill... so hope to get a hearing aid.....to mask it can anyone tell me does this really help?
I'm so sorry that the tinnitus is starting in your other ear! How frustrating. I personally haven't used a hearing aid, but I have read that it can really help with relieving the tinnitus in the ears. Has anyone else in the group had experience with a hearing aid? Good luck and know we're here for you!! I hope you can find a solution/relief from this.
It may provide some measure of relief. Try running your faucet for a few minutes a day to help deal with it. I have had tinnitus for 25 years. I take walks when it gets bad. I try to avoid stimuli which irritates it, such as air conditioners, etc. Good luck. Know that you are not alone. Steve
In my personal opinion having had tinnitus in both ears for exactly 6 years,
I find that noise cancelling devices don't work for me.
Matter of fact it give double the aggravation the tinnitus itself plus the sound of the cancelling device.
Sorry , I know its not want you want to hear but maybe the earing aid will work for you .My Tinni is 24/7 never stops and no matter how loud I turn up the tv or music the tinni is still there.
