I had a friend tell me that I needed to get out and take a class or find a hobby so I can meet people. This friend has been after me for a long time to get out and do something for me but they don't really do anything either because of the pandemic. My job is the only contact I have with others and I keep work and personal life separate. I haven't been out much on days off work because I have constant head pain, anxiety and arthritis. I am seeing a therapist once a week for anxiety, but that isn't going very fast or deep either. I'm trying to find things that make me happy, but it isn't easy.
Maybe a gentle yoga class would be helpful, you can wear a mask and some even have a social time after class.
Your friend probably means well but is likely not qualified to fully understand your situation. It may have already been suggested to switch therapists if you’re not satisfied.
@andine I like my therapist, just things are progressing slower than I thought.
