I'm sorry. I hope you can get yourself in a body positive place
I am exactly the same. I've had such a rapid weight gain! What do you think is causing your weight gain? Food addiction (like me)? etc. <3
Hi, first of all sorry for my english i'm french :). I am currently 200ibs i think ( 104kg) for 1.80m so i think 6ft but i'm no sure. I know what you're going through. I was very depresse about myself and kept ''eating'' my feelings away. First of all you cannot do it simpl on your own : unburden yourself emotionnally to a friend or a family memeber or a therapist. Then go to the doc and see what is wrong in your nutrition habits and finally find the sport for you : something you enjoy doing. For me it's cycling : i started with an indoor bicycle that i bought for 150e and did it in my room and i kept on giving me goals like '' do it for 10/15/25.. minutes ... i couldn't do 10min in a row a year ago an d i was 111kg. NOw i do 45min of cycling every two days. Oh and don't be too focused on the scale at first and enjoy all the health you will be getting back. I wish you the best :)
The fact that you're coming here to share is a great step in the right direction. Have you set any goals? Why don't you start there. I know it can be overwhelming, but those health issues can soon turn fatal. Here for you if you need anything!

You can change many health issues around just by eating better, exercising and losing some weight. It doesn't even have to be a large amount of weight, every pound down makes a difference to your total overall health. Start healthier eating by making 1 change/week. Bake or grill instead of frying. Substitute water for soda. Add a serving more of vegetables and a serving less of starch (potato, pasta, rice) at lunch and dinner. Substitute mustard for mayo on sandwiches. Start with little changes you can stick with and over time work your way into a healthy eating lifestyle. And add some form of exercise, something you enjoy, or better, several things you enjoy. Walk a few days, dance, ride a bike, whatever you like. But don't lose hope, you can do it! :-)
I know it's really hard, believe me. One year ago I was 180 lbs and now I'm 240. It's frustrating. You don't need a complete immediate life change to lose weight, in fact DON'T do that. That causes stress on your body and will completely knock you out of homeostasis and just cause you to gain More weight. Do it in stages. Start eating a salad every day, and do 15 crunches and when you feel comfortable with that, work your way up to 25 and so on and so on. And remember that as you work out, you will gain weight due to growth in muscle mass
