I have met many people who believe marijuana dependency or addiction is a very real thing. I know it is considered to be psychologically addictive from a medical standpoint. I feel like because of its growing popularity, the danger of it or the likeliness of addiction is underestimated. No one really thinks it's as addictive as, say, pills, or even nicotine. I think it's addictive, yes, but what do YOU think? Do you think the stigma around marijuana is positive and do you think that impacts the underestimation of its dependency?
As well as the psychological side I've experienced intense physical withdrawal symptoms from giving up smoking the times I have stopped. Aches and pains, cold and flu symptoms, night sweats, the worst being insomnia and vivid nightmares every night which have been bad enough to make me start again in the past.
Giving up nicotine was easy in comparison for me...as well as anything else I experimented on which was supposedly much worse than Marijuana.
Marijuana addiction is real and it’s a kind of gateway for other addictions. It takes me to the dreamy state of life and suppress my thinking power gradually.
