I have noticed when we are in a toxic relationship with a NPD .. we attract other toxic people also.. why is that ?

Hmmm I have to think about that. The only toxic new people that was in my life were from the narc. I disowned them too. But I haven't really gone out or tried to socialize much since him. I kept my family and friends close and usually only talk to them. I think I am too scared to really meet new people right now. Something to keep my eye on for the future

I feel exactly the same. I honoured myself and stayed on my tod, or was always a family woman like you. I'm not used to this but I am happy that we could all be here in cyberspace because we are anoymous and safe to be our true selves. I have withdrawn from society since my two. It is important not to be suspicious all the time. If we can find courage together we needn't be afraid.x

I figure the Lost look shows on my face.. I have met a few new people and they seem to use me up.. Maybe I seem just too eager to please others... Like a lifeline. I have in the past months put up a guard and have little desire to introduce anyone new into my twisted roller coaster life.. I attend church.. Confession and have found some new found peace ..
