I am profoundly sorry to hear of your loss. I have been there myself and know the feelings well when we lose one of our "fur babies". Though mine maybe gone ... even after many years they are still with me because of how much they enriched my life and what we shared unconditionally during our time together. I feel blessed to have those feelings and awareness remain. May you be blessed with the same feelings and awareness also in regards to "Zuzu".

Thank you all for your support. It helps. I am consoling my male dog, Rafiki, who was her longtime companion and not taking it so well. I will have her cremated, and if I can drum up some funds I will combine her ashes with his when he passes and try to convert their ashes into a diamond.
