I started smoking 4 years ago and I couldn't believe it at age 36. Now I want to quit but don't no where to start. It seems like it would be easy since I haven't been smoking for that long but this is a hard habit to break. Any suggestions?
Ween off slowly, I started stepping down in Feb 2015, I was a pack or more per day smoker so I cut that in half to 10 cigs per day for about 2/3 mos, then cut that in half to 5 per day, etc. Gotta ween off that nicotine. Personally I did not use any type of chantix or over the counter aids nor any e-cigs as they contain nicotine. I quit 7/28/15, can't say it was simple but I'm still smoke free today. Do what works best for you to distract yourself when urges come on, I had to steer clear of many stress as possible to not be triggered. You can do this, set yourself up for success & you'll meet your goals. Stay w/us & journal your progress if it helps you. I can breath better now
