I was diagnosed about 5 months ago with Hsv 1 genital. I had the longest outbreak of my life, although it was very minimal, 2 "blisters" at a time and they didn't even look like blisters. They didn't have anything inside of them. Anyway, after the first OB, it's hard to remember that I have this because I haven't had any OB and everything has gotten back to normal. Last week though, I got this blister on my LIP! My face. I still have it and it's going away. I'm assuming and my boyfriend was like "I'm sure its just a pimple" but it is ON my lips! I'm confused because as far as I know, HSV 1 chose to be on my genitals and Dr. told me that I should only stay in that area.

Maybe it is just a pimple? Which btw, I have NEVER had one there in my life.

Eeeep that's scary! Hopefully it is just a pimple because it would be weird for it to switch spots like that.

@hopelesswanderer Right? I thought any pimples you get on your lips is Herpes associated

I'm still in limbo before my appointment to see if I've contracted herpes, but from what I've been reading this past weekend it seems that once you have type 1 on your genitals you shouldn't get it on your lips...

@hopelesswanderer I read that too. And my Dr told me that too. Guess it was just a pimple.
