I was just tested and the tests came back negative- but the test only shows if I've been exposed up until February. I started dating a new guy (whom I've slept with for while, but I think he's the one that recently gave it to me) the dr is confident enough that I got it after febuary. anyways. He's very supportive. We are both bummed because all was wanna do at this point is kiss lol. We don't know enough to know if we can even kiss, is that dumb? I'm going to go get retested in a few months, but him and I don't know what we can do sexually until then, we don't know the rules.

Meg, why do you feel you have herpes in the first place, have either of you had an outbreak? What sort of test doesn't show your present diagnosis, I am confused! As far as sexual activity, if neither of you have an outbreak, you can have sex and kiss, condoms always and that means for both of you if you are doing oral. Hugs!
@CKarma. I had an outbreak and was told it was herpes, they took a blood test but the test only shows if I was exposed before feb.
I'm not really confused about the blood test. It's too soon to tell through a blood test but she could tell by looking at my outbreak that it was herpes
