I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease after years of doctors, pills, tests and false diagnosis. Been trying to go gluten free since last August, 5 months now. I loved bread and anything wheat but have had no problem staying away from the breads or foods that are breaded. It’s the things that you never thought about having gluten such as soy sauce, ketchup, ect. I am surprised how many people are gluten intolerant and struggle eating out especially at fast food. Someone posted that Arby’s was a good choice so I will have to check that out. The thing that amazes me most is how doctors treat us for everything else and never test for gluten intolerance. I’m my case I had an intestinal problem for over 3 years. IBS, nerve damage from my back, they said was my problem. Pills for this and pills for that they prescribed. Then I get really sick, temp 202.5 and thinking it’s Covid I did a home test. Negative. Went to the ER and they did a X-ray and another Covid test. Was there all night and finally the next morning they said I was OK and sent me home. I was still really sick and almost wrecked and went to bed when I got home. A friend called me and I wasn’t able to put together a sentence trying to talk to him and he called my wife who was 200 miles away with her sick dad. She came home and took me to a clinic. Another Covid test, again Negative and they sent me home. Next day my temp was 103.5 and I thought I was dying. Called 911 and a ambulance took me to the ER again. After several hours I was admitted to the hospital for 6 days. Several blood tests each day trying to find out my problem. Finally they said I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, had had a mini stroke and that I had celiac disease. They changed my meds and put me on a gluten free diet. Told the doctor that diagnosed me with IBS that I had celiac disease and had stopped taking the meds he prescribed and he wanted me to keep coming to him to report on how I was doing with the gluten free diet lol. I never went back. The back doctor who had me taking anti- inflammation drugs said yeah gluten causes inflammation in people that have a intolerance to it lol. Imagine that. Months later now and fewer drugs each day and I feel great with normal bodily functions and no pain. I hope everyone else have good results and as we know the food issue is a daily challenge.

WOW, that no bread thing would be a killer for me. I make my own bread each week. Though I believe there are decent Gluten free breads. A friend could not eat anything to do with Wheat. It took two years, a massive weight loss, (He was muscular, then skin and bones). Finally they found out his problem.
Glad your better now....
