I went on a date, last night, with someone who has wanted to

I went on a date, last night, with someone who has wanted to go out with me for a year. I was highly disappointed sadly. He didn't even take a shower after work even though he had at least 3 hours between work and me coming over for what he said was going to be steak dinner cooked on the BBQ and a movie. Dinner was steak only, and I do mean only, and we watched hockey. Sorry if you hear me snoring in the back ground right now. Oh, and did I mention that his place smelled like cat and dog urine really bad? I am picky about things smells good like me, my place, my partner..LOL And they absolutely HAVE to be a good kisser and he was not even close...So, needless to say I am still single. :( Why is it that people say they are something they are not, like Christian for instance???? Don't say it if you aren't going to go to church with me if I invite you because your true colors always show in the long run!

I do apologize your date didnt go as you would've liked, try and not have high expectations with men their's always going to be something us women may not like remember the saying women are from Mars, men are from venus or vice versa. Definitely go in different dates see whats out there. Don't get dissappointed yet.

Or at least also serve some sides. And the shower thing is pretty unforgivable, though the kissing thing I found can be fixed with gentle encouragement. Sorry you had such a horrible date.

Ya, it wasn't like he just had BO, he had an inch of dirt on the back of his neck. It was gross!

@ShadowMe2 …an inch of dirt??? C’mon now, that makes me feel like vomiting, although find comfort in the fact that I dated a guy a couple of months ago who picked his scabs and ate them (right in front of me)…OMG!!! I felt my whole stomach come up through my throat!!! FORTUNATELY FOR ME HE HAS MADE NO FURTHER ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT ME (by the Grace of God)…I hope the same goes for this guy…I don’t want you seeing him again. He just sounds GROSS.

Eww, good riddance.

I don't believe anyone is better off alone forever. That is a very sad thought. I think he has just been depressed raising his 4 kids alone for so long that he gave up on himself and his home. He gave up "caring". But I can't be the source of that caring. I am still his friend. I didn't put this on here to bash him, yes he needs to take much better care of himself and his place but that doesn't mean he is a bad person or I wouldn't have went there or kept talking to him in the first place for a year. I put it on here to open eyes to people who have been single and lonely. Not everyone takes a good look in the mirror. I'm not saying everyone is like him of course, just that we ALL have our flaws, including me.

ShadowMe2? that was just gross........I hope you do not plan on a second date with this individual......bad hygiene is simply NOT AN OPTION.....keep trying:-) there's plenty of more men to date:-)

I never said I was going to see him again. You all are too funny. I am way too picky about appearance and smell to be with someone like that. All I was saying is I am not going to stop being friends with him or sit here and bad mouth him, and it also I don't believe ANYONE should be alone the rest of their life. My dad was a long haul truck driver for 30 yrs and now has been retired for the past 5-6 yrs. After being alone all those yrs he cried on the phone to me the other day because his sister passed away a couple months ago and he don't know how to be alone anymore. No one, no matter how much they say they do, wants to truly be alone. It's a horrible thing to experience. I have had to go through so many medical things by myself and have another surgery coming...alone. Just forget it.
