I would like to start a thread with anyone saying something they have tried or done to get over anorexia. I started out small in just making smoothies with yogurt and fruit. it gave me some vitamins and nutrients. but it was a start.
I overcame anorexia by getting over the fear of gaining weight. If you eat healthy things for three meals a day you'll be ok. Making sure you have either fiber or protein helps you stay full so you don't feel hungry and so you don't have thoughts of depriving yourself. Chicken is good and healthy, also low fat yogurt, fat free milk with Special K cereal, vegetables and fruits. Fish is also super healthy if you like fish. The thing to remember is you need a little fat in your diet to survive. Try not to be afraid to have just a little bit of fat. You need the nutritional value it gives you to be healthy. Granola bars are good to, depending on the fat content. I know there are some that are low in fat. You could also try Protein bars, it will keep you full. Apples have a lot of fiber and berries as well. Leaning on God is also key, surrendering yourself to him and asking for his help. That's how I truly started to get better from anorexia. He helped me through. Salad with a low fat dressing is good to have, add veggies to. It's good that your starting off slow because if not, it would be easy to relapse. Oatmeal is another great thing to eat that fills you and you don't need to worry about getting hungry until the time of your next meal. I hope this helps you, It also helped me and still is.
@Linds thanks for all the ideas. I like that you included God in your equation. I have asked the same thing from him.
