Iam tapering slow but concerned, terry any idea of what I can do to ease withdrawal pains

Hi Happyjack. You're already off to a great start to have even made this great decision so right on!

If you can/want, you can tell us how many milligrams, how you're tapering, etc.....but assuming you're basically not doing it too quickly, there are many things we can do to make us feel better and ease withdrawal symptoms so don't be discouraged! And I've tried them, so I do believe in all of this...

First off is if there are any actual physical symptoms. If you have stomach issues or insomnia or restless leg issues.....there are over the counter medicines that are just fine, from immodium to maybe a nytol (be careful), an aspirin or anti inflammatory.....lots and lots of water, but also fresh juices, coconut water, green tea.....try to avoid sugar and caffeine. Then there are supplements that are great. I love vitamin C but also fish oil, and Melatonin. There are detox teas on the market that make you feel good too. There are also supplements that are precursors, or help to "feed" your brain the right chemicals that we need that we've hurt some.....like Dopamine and Serotonin, etc.....I have really liked 5-HTP for instance.

Here's just one site that addresses this......

Walks, sunshine, family.....and so on and so on......and, us right here too!! :)

Keep going, good luck, you can do it!

Thanks harpua
,please stay intouch as I know I will get sick

@Happyjack always here for you, you can message me anytime, I check in often…I did run into some issues and now back on 2 mgs to begin to taper down again…if at first you don’t succeed, try try again…I very determined but this time I’m doing as a different doctor advises, my other doctor was 82 and had no clue about tapering anyone off…stay strong!!

Well, be careful now......as you see, Terryann had some troubles. Weening must be done very carefully, with patience. If need be, do it with a doctor.

But hey, we're here for you so let us know how you're feeling....in time you will be very happy. We're with you....

Happyjack, how are you doing?
