Im getting tired of getting crap, every time I meet a nice girl and she seems into me she instantly leaves the second she finds out I'm in the military, or because I'm "too young for them" which going after older women is probably a hindrance on my end but I find women my age too immature even 25yos are mostly immature (not all but most) I typically shoot for between 27-35 but the ones that don't mind the age gap instantly run for the hills (sorta speak) when they find out im in the navy.....im giving up on dating not going to lie. (edit I've heard the "oh your still young..." thing like 80 times and it doesn't help....not trying to sound rude but I don't want to hear it again lol)
I'll tell you something. 1. Its amazing that you are in the navy. 2. Look at it as an experience - finding people not up for dating - because it is. This will make the person who is olay with this really special. 3. A friend of mine has been dating a guy in navy for 6-7 years now, I guess. All going good.
Stop looking for it desperately, if you are doing it. Just enjoy, you are in the Navy afterall! You'll find someone.

From one veteran to another, thank you for your service. While I can appreciate why being in the military isn’t necessary conducive to relationship building, anyone who uses that as a reason not to be with you isn’t a good fit, and may not harbor the same values (e.g., being part of something bigger than yourself, serving others, acts of selflessness) that you do. Be proud of yourself and your accomplishments. The right one will come.
