I'm new to here but confession I'm taking up to 70 mg of generic Adderall IR for my ADD. It works great for my concentration especially since I been doing research for my mother on her health to see why she in 2 week span lost ability to walk but that's another story and group... but eventually the anxiety comes or the dry mouth and the lip nibbling... and not to mention the great neck and back aches I'm thinking from tensing my muscles while on it or clenching my jaw maybe while i sleep.
I've definitely been there with the side effects like that. I would often grind my teeth without realizing it and the dry mouth can get so frustrating- if I'm out doing something, I'd always have to remember to bring plenty of water and also remember to drink it. I'm glad it's helping with the concentration though! I'm sorry your mom too and I hope she is seeing a doctor about this problem. Just know that we're here for you through everything and best wishes to you and your mom!
thats a lot of adderall. I took it for a while and got addicted and had to quit it. I would get very irritable on it. I think it helped some, but am glad i dont' take it now.
by confessing are you not taking it as prescribed?
It's prescribed and I actually make prescription last for a month and a half because I don't take on most weekends but just feel guilty on how got to such high of dose and just don't seem to laugh much when take it and can't enjoy things that should be enjoyed.
@quichi if I have a scab I'll Def pic it along with any dry skin on my nail beds, I used take 30mg twice a day but then grew tolerance I really thought my mg was normal but I'm thinking it's higher maybe why I'm getting more anxiety NY doc prescribed me xanex too but I hate that sluggish clutz type feeling especially during the day, I have a 6 year old so he keeps me on my feet with cleaning homework and sports it helps me so much to manage my life but I think I'm missing joys In life on top of it iv gained weight past year (crazy right) probably from nights or weekends when it out my system, maybe I'll try less but more times a day like 20mg spread out through out the day. I used be on dexedrine but picking was so Worse on that stuff.
@quichi i agree my doc is in his mid 80's and brings his dog with him to the 2 times a month he goes to the office , i need to find a new doc. he put me on a anti depressant called viibyrd and it made the adderall not even work one bit even at high does (i think that's how i got to this dose mg) and he had nothing to say about it. but **** this groups and you guys have already helped me out and only been signed up for 2 days!
I had that same zombie-ish personality when I was on Adderall. I was a lot happier being off of it, but then the ADHD symptoms were worse. To me, it seems that a more knowledgeable doctor could help you a lot more. A good doctor will recommend supplements and lifestyle changes in addition to drugs. I know a great one in Atlanta!
