Intrusive Thoughts More Distressing

I keep getting intrusive thoughts and it’s more distressing. I would never do these bad things I think about, but the thoughts just won’t go away. It’s getting harder to redirect myself too.

Can you call a therapist or life counselor? Do you have resources to talk to someone professional about your thoughts??? When i am ruminating i have to keep busy to stop.

I have a therapist but she isn’t specialized in OCD. Yeah, I try to keep busy too.

My doc specials in that disorder. Ask your therapist for some mindful things that she cant print out for you to help with skills to use when your Ocd kicks in. You can look up DBT SKILLS OR COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Okay, thanks, I will.

I know they can be distressing, especially when I had to undergo with that for years - speaking from myself of 6 years with OCD, and let me tell you, OCD is a devil. The only key to beating OCD, is to not fight it. Allow yourself to feel discomfort, anxious, depressed, scared. Try to be friends with OCD - it will stop bullying you when you learn to embrace the uncertainty.

You’re welcome. How are you doing these days? It’s been ages since we interacted.
