Is feeling disconnected from a person youve known for a long time a symptom of BPD?
I feel like i don't know how to be around my boyfriend even though hes comfortable with me.
It suck Idk what's wrong with me
Yes, could be a symptom. Have you been diagnosed with BPD?
@annieamygdala no. But I’m desperate to find out what’s wrong with me, because i always feel so off
There's a really good video on utube called Back from the Edge, Borderline Personality Disorder. Its rather long, but I recommend watching it because people with BPD talk about their symptoms and maybe it will help you make sense of what you're feeling.
Another thing that helped was taking the Briggs Meyers Temperament test. This has been around for decades and widely used in business. I found out that my temperament type is only maybe 10 percent of the population. Just one of many reasons I feel like I can't connect. Let me know how it goes. The earlier you find out, the better!
Thank you i need the help
Good luck. For what its worth, high school was very stressful socially for me. Especially if you're sensitive or introverted, it can be a real challenge to socialize. Take care.
@MomaYork Yes, it was both comforting and shocking, in the sense, like you said, there are others, but…this means I have a brain disorder, holy ****, what do I do now… I guess were lucky that we live in an age where we can at least be diagnosed and find a darn book on the subject! Getting better has been a lot of ups and downs though. Gotta keep trying. Hugs.
Its soooooooo emotionally tiring . Tired at getting frustrated with my elderly parents and my sister who never visits but always wants money from everyone.
I think I'll go live in the forest somewhere with my dogs and my sweet husband.
