I'm almost positive I have BPD. It describes me to a T. I have taken some tests for it, talked to people who have it and I'd be willing to bet money on it!
I mean I took a test from the DSM-IV manual and I passed for BPD with flying colors.
Where do I go from here?
I'd say definitely get an appointment with a psychiatrist, who will confirm the diagnosis and then suggest treatment.
The one thing though about personality disorders, is that some schools of thought (and you can see this all over the internet) believe that they are untreatable. Sure they are hard to treat, perhaps. But to label them untreatable, just seems harsh, espcially in this day and age, when we know so much more about human psychology.
Best of luck
Un-treatable? Nah! Un-normal? Yes. Who wants to be normal anyway?
Don't mind me, it's my warped sense of humor. Not everybody gets it, but I'm alright with that, I get my sense of humor. It helps me deal with things.
Yeah, I would definately go see someone, but I have this insurance problem. The company I work for did away with all benefits until further notice. That was in February.
And I have to say, in the 16 years I have been working in this field, I have found a job I absolutely LOVE!
