ty foreverbroken. I am 53 yrs. old and I have suffered from depression all my life. Some days are harder than others and when I get in that dark place I have to accept that It may never get better and that I just have to learn to cope with it.

I'm a few years older than you, and I too have suffered from depression for as long as I can remember. But there are good moments as well. The sun was shining here this morning and it's green and lovely this time of year. For a little while, my heart was lifted. I don't know about you, but my powers of concentration aren't what they once were, so I find it hard to remember things - sometimes even that I was in a relatively good mood this morning....

I know what you mean about concentration and memory loss. I have had difficulty with those as well for some time now. And the fact that I had a ministroke 2 yrs. ago that affected me also doesn't help any. And I have such mood swings that I'll be crying my eyes out one minute and then laughing hysterically then next.

At least you're laughing sometimes! Mood swings are a pain, especially when you go down so far that you can't remember the easier times.

The sun is shining here this morning. I find that helps my mood sometimes.
