I am so nervous! First I had to call and make an appointment- I get so much anxiety when I have to call doctors offices...I hate the phone. So I made my appointment for Monday. I am so nervous I just don't even know what to expect.
You will be okay just be open. i hope it goes well for you. i understand when i made my appointment months ago i didn't want to and i even stop going from time to time because i'm nervous to get well. but it is worth it. hopefully you are both a match for each other if not - don't be afraid to move on
Allee!! ♥ That's great!! :) I know how frightening that is! I am also terrified of the phone! LOL! ♥ It took me soooo long to place that call. And my first appointment was scary to me, too. But that part DOES ease. :)
Keep writing! Be honest with your therapist. And open to suggestions. :)

Hi Allee,
I just started seeing a therapist as well. I won't lie, it's been difficult. I have a hard time being open with people and it feels strange to force myself not to hold stuff back. However, it's so worth it. My therapist specializes in eating disorders so she understands where I am coming from and does not judge. While I am still struggling we are starting to build a tool-set for me and I really think it will be helpful!

Thanks Jen and brown girl. Yeah I will be honest. And I am so scared of the phone, haha. But I hope everything goes well. I am nervous but excited to start this part finally! I mean I have been waiting for 2 months to get a therapist! Stupid insurance!
Yahh! Way to go girl! I hate calling doctors offices... it makes me feel so awkward!! hehe but i am VERY happy for you! I hope that you find it helpful! And hey if you guys don't connect very well don't get discouraged! Not everyone is going to be a match for you and if you don't feel comfortable sharing things with them then don't keep going to that therapist! It wouldn't be beneficial for you. So don't give up! Always keep trying! :)
