More challenges

So, tonight I noticed that my parents, both of whom are overweight and NOT trying to lose weight, were eating low calorie, pre-cooked meals while I had to prepare my own, normal, meal-plan meal. I don't know; I guess I'm not really looking for advice or anything so much as feeling like I need to express how difficult that was for me. It's hard to know that this large, burly, overweight man is eating less than I am--I feel like a glutton! Does anyone else encounter these types of situations?

Yes!! My whole life! My parents always would diet and eat lean cuisines or gross nutriaystem meals and I would have to cook normal for me and my brother. And one day I snapped. If they can eat that why can't I. I completely understand what you are going through. It's fustrating but you have to ignore their bad habits and just do what's right for you.

TrueImage,

I know how hard this is for you. But just remember...they are overweight. They are trying to get healthy and so are you. You both have a bad relationship with food...you, when triggered take comfort in not eating, and they, when triggered eat. Both are a bad habit to get into and you both are trying to fix it.
I'm sure they are very proud of you for sticking to your meal plan, because they love you and don't want to see you suffer anymore. And you don't deserve to suffer anymore.

Just remember the path that YOU are on to getting healthy. If it will help, talk to them and ask them not to discuss weight loss, or calorie counting while around you for it is not helpful for your mental state. They should understand :)
But you are not a glutton. Not by any means. You are a healthy girl getting healthier so she can reach your full potential. You are beautiful. You are strong. You CAN do this!

Keep fighting,
Paige xoxo
