Mouth sores HELP

four Rchop done and four more to go. horrible mouth sores tongue so sore can't eat

Hi Billie, did your doctor give you any guidance and advice on how to help with your mouth sores? Please know that we are here for you and here to help you in any way that we can. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

tTo help with the mouth sores try swishing twice a day use salt and soda after meals. Brush with a soft brush, avoid alcohol and tobacco, citrus and spicy foods or scratchy foods. Eat ice cubes or popsicles lots of them. Diet should be soft smooth foods like puddings mashed potatoes baby foods. Report any white patches or worsening sores. Biotene mouth rinse is comforting. Hope this helps. The MD can give you some lidocaine swish that also helps and lots of ibuprophen with food of course.

he said my blood count was too low and started me on epigen shots yesterday. he gave me a prescription for magic mouthwash but walgreens said they need the formula from him and so far last night he hadn't called them back. the lidocaine would probably do it. he said it should get better as my blood count comes up. i go back for chemo next week

got the magic mouthwash and it is helping. it's still bad. had second shot today so maybe the blood count will come up enough to get some relief. i still have trouble walking across a room without getting very light headed and have to bend over until it passes, feels like low blood pressure

Yup sounds familiar all of were talking about how our balance was off. Low blood counts will do that. Increasing your water intake will increase your fluid volume and help you with the lightheadedness. Every litle bit helps. Hopefully your mouth gets better soon I know how bad that can be. Try drinking instant breakfast it has all the vitamins and gives your mouth a break until it gets better.
