Well, I am 33 yrs. old and I have been married four years with no success at pregnancy. I have been diagnosed with POF (premature ovarian failure). Unfortunately, it is the one disorder they currently do not have treatment for. I just feel so overwhelmed in my life and not being able to have a baby is severely adding to my already stressful situation. Anyway, I don't want to sound like I am looking for sympathy so I will leave it at that. I really need someone to talk to that understands my situation. My husband and mother, and others in my life attempt to comfort me but I really wish I could talk to someone who actually understands how I am feeling. Thanks for taking the time to read!
I wish that I could deal with my situation better!
Hello IBB,
So sorry to hear about the challenges you are facing. It is good that you have joined this online support group, because there are others in this group who can really relate to what you are feeling. If you are also looking for face-to-face support, I encourage you to find any local support groups that meet regularly. Also, if you can afford counseling (or have insurance coverage), you have the option to find a counselor that specializes in infertility counseling, and/or has personally dealt with infertility. The RESOLVE organization (www.resolve.org) is a great resource to find local counselors and support groups.
I wish you and your husband all the best, as you navigate through this fertility journey.
Thank you!
