Just got my script, quitting May 2nd, reading some of the side effects, would like personal experiences. Also do any of use alcohol, xanax, or marijuana while taking chantix and what kind of effects have you noticed.

I haven't had many side effects from Chantix. After my quit date 4-21 I had bad head aches that day and a bad dream last night. Nothing too crazy! lol. I have been taking the pills for 9 days. They say that not everyone experiences the side effects. A few people I know that took them told me that they had bad dreams, but that was about it. Oh and after their quit date when they would go to smoke a cig it would make them feel sick or even vomit right away. So good luck. By the way I don't take xanax. I have only smoked weed twice and it didn't give me any bad side effects when I did. I drink alcohol, but I don't plan on drinking alcohol while taking chantix. Alcohol gives me urges to smoke so I am going to avoid alcohol for atleast a month and maybe you should think of trying to the same. I hope you can quit!!! Best of wishes!
