Hi, my dad has just been diagnosed with Diabetes, he is very ill, he has lost 4 Kg's in 2 weeks and now says his vision is blurred. What sort of specialist should he go to? And how does one go about starting to deal with this?

thank you

my dad has diabetes and he has necoprathy in his feet where he cant feel them. his kidneys are shutting down as well. my dad has went to his doctor for a long time because when you have diabetes your supposed to go in and get check ups and get tested to see how your sugar levels are doing. my dad was supposed to see kidney specialist but he didnt go. i would have your dad talk to his doctor and see what he thinks and who he should refer him to. usually a doctor will refer you to who you need to go and see. hope this helps.

My sugar level got out of control and my vision gotten brurry too. I lower my lever by drinking about 60 oz of water through out the day. This removes a lot of the sugar from the body.

To keep my sugar level from raising at night I drink about 20 some ounce before I go to bed.

To lower you bs quickly a 40 minute walk would help to if he go for a walk after dinner.

It will take about 3 week for the vison to clear up. Look at some small light per day to see how much the vision is clearing up.

Hope I have been helpful!
