New

I am new to these sort of things. I don't really know what to do. This is all mandatory so that I don't have to attend counceling in another location twenty miles away. Money is very tight. My boyfriend works {and is trying very hard} but doesn;t make much money. I am always alone with my three very young children and I always feel lonely. Consequently it is very difficult to maintain my sobriety. At least today we are going swimming so that I have something for my little ones to do and then relieve my boredom thus taking my mind off of the bad things in life at least for a little while.

Hi Rene,
It is a great step that you are working towards sobriety, addiction is hard to kick, and i can't even imagine doing this with kids!. 12 step meetings very helpful, NA or AA.You will feel so much better when you are around ppl that have been through the exact same things you have gone through, and you will know you are not alone. Look up NA or AA meeting schedules online, they have them EVERYWHERE believe me! I hope you have a good rest of the day=) Keep staying strong, you will pull through
