Hey to all. I just signed on & looking forward to getting my anger in check.
I'm so glad I found this site.I've been a snapper head most of my life. I get upset over the littlest things but I don't stay angry long. Wouldn't it be great if we all had an emergency brake in our brains to stop the nasty terrible things that come out of our mouths & the stupid acts we do?
yes it would be great. at the time we dnt care then later were like oh no i shouldnt have done that. ive done this alot. my mouth gets me in trouble. welcome to the site :)
Is it customary to pay upfront before office visit to see Doctor ?
I went twice to one & the last appointment was cut short because we both lost our tempers.Him being the 1st to loose his cool.
It is entirely possible for you to create the "emergency brake" for yourself. You have taken the first step of awareness. As you become aware of where you first feel anger in your body (for some it is hands, others stomach and still others jaw, but everyone has their own style) you can then start to use other techniques like focused breathing or leaving the situation until you feel calm. It definitely takes practice, but you sound motivated to change.
