Nipping my dizziness in the bud

I've been experiencing dizziness again because of stress. It used to rule my life, but now I've learned how to nip it in the bud. Yesterday I felt such a squeezing in the back of my head that started causing dizziness. It was quite scary as I was driving, so I simply pulled over and did deep breathing exercises while massaging my head and neck. The dizziness immediately went away. I realized that when I calm myself down, it helps me tremendously. I used to get so worked up over it and it would really stress me out, but that would only make it worse. Now, I stop, calm myself down, do a little massage and it subsides.

Thank you so much for sharing your unexpected experience which took a lot of courage to deal with immediately. this is a great tip for those of us who went through these unpleasant feelings before. Thank you again and God bless you always.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support Marcie, I truly appreciate it so much. Its been getting easier and easier as each day goes by. Now that I know how to help myself, the dizziness does not have control over me any longer but I of it.

Hey puppydoglovr, I see you have a few posts about you experiencing dizziness. I didn't see where you mentioned seeing a doctor about it. Have you seen one about your dizziness? I have had dizziness a few times. A couple of times it was because of an ear infection. Once it was because of my pituitary gland. Dizziness and light headedness can also occur during perimenopause and menopause. There can be many reasons for dizziness. If you haven't done so yet, and it continues, I suggest seeing your doctor about it.

Hi Bluidkiti, thank you for your insight and recommendations regarding my dizziness. I actually went to an acupuncturist for a few months, as well as a deep healing massage therapist. They attributed the build up on tension in my neck from over-use of the computer to cutting off circulation to my head. Once I would get the deep healing massage consistently, then the problem would go away. It's when my stress is at an all time high, and I don't make time for it that the problem ensues. So, it's time to start carving out time for my health and well-being again. Thank you again!
