Non-related issue

so here's the deal. I need to ask a question that is unrelated to any of these issues, but i don't know who else to ask. I called my doctor, but no return call.

I took the plan B pill two weeks ago. I've been bleeding ever since. Heavy. I fear i'm getting anemic and i'm in pain and i feel like i'm bleeding to death. Sorry if this is weird. But has ANYONE here taken this before?

I havent, but if you are bleeding that severely you should go to the ER and have an exam. You could be experiencing other issues. It's better to be safe and get checked to make sure you are not hemmoraging. Please go and let me know how things go. PLEASE don't wait.

I agree. You need to seek medical attention even if it is not your doctor. I have not taken the pill nor do I have friends to rely on for imput. Please go to the ER, or urgent care or some facility near you. There is too many things this could be and that is scary. Take care and please update us....

Yes, I agree. Seek medical attention, no matter who it's from. And also, remember that you're going to get through this tough time. I'm thinking of you.

I agree with everyone above. you should probably get checked out just to be safe. I love you tons!

Please go to the ER. They will need to treat you for this.

Please let us know that you are ok when you get back.

Our fingers are crossed that everything is fine.

well...the bleeding has gotten better. It just sucks. Sorry to like..bother y'all with this. I have a doctors appointment Wednesday with my gynecologist. My sister is getting me some iron to take to try to get my body where it needs to be. I don't know. I'm 20 years old, but i just moved back in with my parents. If they knew i had taken the plan b pill they would be disgusted with me...i'm trying not to let them find out, but i guess that if it gets worse again i'll have no choice but to go to the ER. thanks for the feedback...i was really freaked out.

Rebekah, please do not feel like you are bother us. Please, if you need to vent/talk about something, please do. We are here for you.

As for your parents: You can go to the ER without them knowing. Just drive over there, have someone drive you or take public transportation.

I am glad that you are bit better. :)

may i ask--what is the plan B pill? i hope you feel better..

love
maureen

Maureen,

Plan B is an emergency contraceptive that you take after having unprotected sex.

it was an accident...not something that happens often...just one of those freak things.

Rebekah, no one is here to judge you. You are an adult. We all care for you and want you to be well. You don't have to explain yourself why you took it. Just get yourself better. Thant's all any of us want for each other.

Christa - good girl for asking. I always ask questions when I want to know something I am unfamilliar with. It is the only way we learn correctly.

Rebekah89 .... I didn't mean anything by that post. I was just trying to let Maureen know what it was.

:)

oh, i actually took that once along time ago---and yes if you are experiencing something bad like a lot of blood, then please go to the ER or a doctor...

dont worry, it happens --no one is judging you..

hope you are ok.... and take care

OK I know I'm A guy and how would a guy know anything about this kind of thing? Well my x-wife was on the regular pill. So I got some input there. I've spent may many hours talking to women about just about anything you can imagine. Allot of things that some guys wouldn't care about or wouldn't have a clue. And my last girlfriend was a Surgical RN. nurse. So I know some things about women that women might not know. also like (DIZZ) said. I ask questions and or do research when I want to know something and I don't.

I hope that abbreviation doesent
offend you (Beautiful Dizzaster).
I thought of that the first time I saw your screen name and I've been patiently waiting for a chance to use it. no dis respect or offense intended. I just thought it was cute.

But seriously --Rebekah-- See a competent medical professional and find out what's up with that? your messing with hormones and all sorts of things there. I don't know about this part so don't worry unnecessarily but it seems possible that it could effect things if you decide that you do want to have children in the future.

Learn as much as you can and be safe.

trick

Dizz is fine with me.

Wonderful support here! ♥ Rebekah, please let us know how your appointment goes on Wednesday! And if anything changes, or fails to change, etc., please don't hesitate to go to the ER. NO judgement. :)

Much love,

Jen

thanks guys...i know plan b is kind of a touchy subject...i just didn't know what to do. I took some iron, so hopefully that will help with the anemia. I'm still having cramps, but they are better. Thank you all for the support. I'll definitely let you know how wednesday goes.

We love you Bekah!
