The report, put together by the US Institute of Medicine, was commissioned by the countries' governments partly to clarify the supposed benefits of huge doses of vitamin D.

The report confirmed the importance of calcium and vitamin D in maintaining bone health, but said other claims, such as those suggesting massive doses of vitamin D can prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, remain unproven...."

Thats interesting to read as EVERY SINGLE women's magazine or health and fitness magazine begs to differ...every month there are articles about how we all need to up our vitamin D intake.

I really don't know what to follow or what to believe anymore. You are so right, everyone's saying something different and there's new information every month on Vitamin D. I guess if I keep up with my moderation approach, then I should be ok....I hope.

I know puppy, its overwhelming. I take prenatal vitamins daily (im not preg nor plan on getting preg, i take them because of my ED) and they have all the vitamins/minerals in there that anyone could ever ask for, so im not too worried about adding more vitamin d.
