Oh my gosh, Lupus is the worst form of illness out there. I was diagnosed in 1978 in Madison Wisconsin and I do not live there I am near Washington DC. Any way at that time the health care was excellent, but the doctors told me that it will harm your vital organs. I did not believe and was young who cares I thought.
Well I have been living with a real Nightmare. I had to quit my wonderful Profession of 34 years, I had so many health things going on. Depression set it and knew I was getting many Lupus attacks I could not control. Well, the end of the tale is yes I had to get 6" of my intestines removed, now I have very serious heart problems, recently my MRI of the brain showed lesions, fluid retention in my pulmonary track, and heart. Glaucoma, HBP, Back Problems, Equilibrium problems. I can only say it is deadly and hope no one else has walked this path. Most of my vital organs are affected for sure. It is not at all mild obviously. Too smart too late.
