Ok so Eddylow9 told me a long time ago that there will be good days and bad days, days in between and good weeks and bad weeks etc during recovery. He's right 100%. I'm so much better then 9 months ago. No constant thoughts, anxiety is gone, attraction is back but if I obsess at all it gets overshadowed until I relax. And I'm more motivated. Compulsions are gone for the most part unless you count the occasional Google here and there which is no officially going to stop and checking as well. You guys have to stop with the "I'm scared" posts. It just keeps you in the threshold of the fear and OCD. You need to be more optimistic and productive. You can't just sit and wait for it to go away. It won't that way. You need to realize that no OCD thought will make you become the content of that thought. Start battling OCD. Not hocd. The "H" doesn't matter. The "OCD" does. Yes you will doubt it's OCD but OCD is all about doubt itself. Work on OCD. Forget about the theme. Instead of googling (if you must) about hocd start googling about just OCD and Pure O. Don't associate a theme with it and you will see how other themes coincide and have identical characteristics to your present theme. Again it's all in the realm of OCD. Take my advice

AMAZING post! Thank you!

told you, also buddy try to eliminate the googling completely matter fact toss your smartphone and your computer and go out days without the internet or support group.com for days unless you really have to for HW purposes and stuff, and yes instead of becoming obsessed with labeling it HOCD its just OCD, first mistake i made that kept dragging me back i would spend hours labeling it HOCD and that really did nothing for me but keep me obssesed about it, like OlongJohnson told me once "the first rule of OCD, dont talk about OCD" (;

@Eddylow9 how did you find your strength to stay away from support group and compulsion? For me its so hard to stay away.

Its inspiring to hear that it give you result after a while doing CBT. Im visiting a therapist and are actually doing CBT. For me it take more time for result. But I guess I have to let it to take some time.
