On sustaining motivation: Step 8: Find like minded friends: So many have commented that they can't talk to others that they know about their food problems but this group site allows for that communication. Keeping an emotional lid of secrecy takes so much energy that it actually contributes to the problem. Seek companionship when dealing with an eating disorder. Partner up! Step 9: Similar to a previous step, read inspiring stories of folks having success with their eating disorder. I like to "surf the web" for such stories as it's a good reminder for my goals in ending binge eating.
love this, I think it is also important to be mindful of friends who might be naturally wanting to push food on a person (out of love or course) but still unhealthy.
@Aura82 If such urging would go past the initial “No thank you,” one might ask the food pusher, “Why do you want me to eat more than I should?”
