Per my previous entries, I have been on "The Doctor's Diet (Mediterranean style diet) for several weeks now. In the first two weeks, I dropped 18 pounds and my fasting blood sugars dropped from an average of 236 to 121. After the first two weeks, it is recommended that a modification of the stricter starting diet be adopted for the next two weeks. I have been slipping and sliding wiith my motivation since. I've gained back four pounds and my fasting blood sugars have risen to about 170. Obviously, my motivation needs a kick in the pants! Here's to a more successful day in my healthy eating.
Paleo diet
Are you eating a Paleo diet? How long and how has it been working for you?
@certifiedangus well I’m a nutritionist , but yeah a paleo diet is what everyone should eat. Of course vary it according to your needs. I do eat dairy, butter cream , milk sometimes. But stay away from gluten , veg oils and sugar.
Don’t be afraid of fat , I know the meditteran diet uses lots of olive oil. Olive oil is a good fat. But saturated fats are better. Butter , coconut oil , lard etc.
