Pet Scan Next Week

I am in the middle of my Chemo sessions and have my firsy updated Pet Scan. I am very nervous. I hate the feeling of Chemo for the first 5-6 days. It is taking longer to be myself again. I have 6 more chemo sessions to go. I was diagnosed 2A.

Mrmark, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sending you tons of healthy healing energy. Please know that we are here for you.

Mrmark,
Hang in there and be strong.
Unfortunately, all of us that have been through it completely understand what you are saying. It is rough, but you can make it.

Perseverance is key.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I have taken the suggestion to drink Whey. I hope that helps.

That time before a PET scan and waiting for the results is always nerve-wracking! My husband goes in for his next check up next month and I always try to block it out until it's absolutely necessary. Hang in there. I'm sure the results will be great.

Mrmark,

Seems you are nearer the end of the treatment than the beginning. That can only be good, so count them down! I recall the feeling after the chemo, and it sounds like your experience a bit. I went bac to work (slowly) after the second dose. My day was Wednesday, so I had Thursday and Friday as leave, then Saturday and Sunday to recover, and really needed them all. I didn't feel ill as such, just tired. Stick with it, it becomes no more than a memory very quickly after the last armful.

Mrmark,

I too have a PET scan next week, I get them every 3 months... I am on the end side of things. Now I go to see if anythings shows up... The actual testing isn't so bad, its the waiting to hear the results... 6 more chemo sessions? Halfway through? YAH!!! Keep positive for that helps you get through it! Someone suggested to me that you find something that you really want to do once chemo ends, like go on a bike ride or a vacation. And start planning it now or dreaming of it. It helped get me through. I had wanted to go on vacation with my husband. We haven't gotten to go yet but I would sit and dream of the places we could go.
Okay so my PET scan is on the 19th, I'll make you a deal... tell me when yours is and we'll kinda hold each other up in thoughts that day. Deal?
Take care and feel free to talk all you want to us!!

Thank you

I had my Pet Scan yesterday, and they said it looked great. They did not see any more of the Lymphoma. They did want me to finish the 6 more chemo treatments just in case it was still there but did not show up in the Scan. I just hate the Chemo, it makes me feel lousy. They did say I will not be getting any radiation because the Lymphoma was in the groin area, and that could have some negitive results in the long term. It really does help to stay positive.
