Lonely without a doubt. Because you always have to potential to meet new exciting people or do exciting things that bring you happiness. Great post Rainbow :)

@TheRainbow Lonely all the way! I would not lived in torment and misery with someone..... And certainly he wouldn't be called my significant other! For someone who is my significant other wouldn't hurt me...... Why do women put up with treatment liked that? I don't know..... Most times is because they don't wanted to be lonely....... So they decided to scraped the bottom of the barrel? Heck No! You got to go! I was brought up by a single strong woman, my mom, she was such a good example for me. She took no crap from men! She did all business in the home on her own. So when she was dealing with contractors, and repairmen they thought they could take advantaged of her, because she was a woman, but boy o' boy were they wrong! Be strong, the best is yet, to followed..... SG friends are here, to support, and be supported.

I am mistreated by my significant other, so even though I'm not technically single, I feel very lonely.

You could be lonely without your significant other and without the mistreatment. The loneliness would be more bearable.

Difficult questions.. Some say it is better to have an empty seat then one who accupies iswrong.I lived alone for ten years it was going well..so I believe iti is better then living with tourment p.s when your alone find quality time for yourself get to no your needs and desires.. Get independent with the world

I've done the turmoil and misery with a significant other thing. It isn't healthy for anyone involved, but I wasn't strong enough to let go at the time and it took being kicked out of our apartment and multiple years for me to actually feel I was truly moving past it. I still feel I'm facing the effects of some of those wounds. I would like to say that if that happened again I would be strong enough to leave and choose being lonely before things get to that point again.

I'd still rather be lonely. It's really not worth it to be with someone you're unhappy with. Plus sometimes it can feel just as lonely being in a terrible relationship.
