So I have a lot of trouble brushing my teeth because of some

So I have a lot of trouble brushing my teeth because of something traumatic that happened in my mouth. But I really don’t want my teeth to rot. Any advice?

Does using an electronic toothbrush with an app help?  A  water pic?  Mouthwash?  Are you able to see a dentist or is that traumatizing?

@CKBlossom Thanks for the suggestions! Seeing a dentist is traumatizing but I have been considering getting dental work done under sedation.

One thing you can continue to do is use an oral rinse that works well for you. Along with the things CKBlossom mentioned. I might be mistaken but I'd think there's probably some chewable things to help keep your teeth healthy (certain gums, etc.).

Sugarless gum
Crunchy green vegetables
Drinking plenty of water throughout the day
Limiting sweets
Are some things that can help keep bacteria in your mouth to a minimum. There's also various types of toothpaste that can help your teeth. Such as Sensodyne(I think), as well as ones with baking soda in them.

@Jordan5683 Thank you :slight_smile:

I think (think) you can get chewable toothbrushes, I’m not entirely sure how they work but they are on Amazon and they dissolve somehow but it depends on what bothers you most about using a toothbrush and brushing your teeth but like others have said maybe for the time being use mouth wash, maybe swill your mouth out with water after meals because apparently dentist encourage that anyway with more coffees and teas but I never do it because it’s far too much effort but I would advise talking to your dentist if need be. Hope all goes okay :)
