So, I recovered from anorexia this year but it seams like I'm backsliding. My husband notices more than I do. I had thoughts of taking laxatives and I actually put my finger down my throat which I never did before. I didn't throw up. I chickened out, maybe it's good that u did. I get grossed out when there's Greece on pizza or any kind of unwanted fat on my food! I blot it off of just take it off. I can't stand it.

You have proberly lost two people in your life but you will make many many more and be in a group where you'd can all be the same about your bodies eating and share story's

I know exactly what you are talking about. However, I thought that I recovered three three months ago. Long story short I did not and I relapsed a week ago and I am constantly listening to MCR and BVB to keep me from fasting. It's hell. I know it's a unisex disorder however, I feel it's unfair to have us straight dudes suffer in the quiet. We don't feel like we will be accepted by the community or taken seriously. That was a big obstacle for six years to overcome.

Men and women should be represented equally in this disorder...

@MCRandBVBsavedmyLife you are so right. anorexia doesn’t care if your male or female. the end result of it is the same for everyone. good luck to you.

Thankyou. I haven't taken laxatives or anything like that in a while. It's embarrassing to talk about. I try to eat healthy at every meal, so I don't eat much fat. And if I eat fat, I take an alli pill. It's a weight loss pill, and it's the only fda approved pill. It works though, it's not one of those weight loss pills that is nonsense. It actually works. If gets rid of the unwanted fat, but if you have too much, then you'll end up having an alli spill in the bathroom. It's not pretty because it's literally fat coming out of you, orange liquid. It's gross. In all honestly, the alli is helping me from turning to laxatives or trying to put my finger down my throat. Yeah, that's not cool. I hate saying those things.

@Linds but anyways, alli is super safe and effective. I get it at cvs or Walmart. The only thing is it’s pretty expensive. I thought I’d share this
With u guys. When you take alli, make sure you eat Healthy meals, and it’s also good to excercise because you’ll lose more. But, to be honest, my husband is taking alli and his dr said for him to take it. My husband can’t excercise because his body is too disabled. He’s lost a tremendous amount of weight in a short time

I think it's wrong way we portray our bodies to look or feel good we should be comftable in our own skin not killing ourself with little food or slimming tablets would love those tabs to be banned from the market or watch little of the adverts on tv not just big woman punish their body slimmer ones go through the same about their weight even teenagers do the same it's sad and frighting help yourself with ditching magazines and tv that make unsad

@elizabeth01 all the ads for people to be skinny or look skinny should be banned. why cant people be comfortable in their own body no matter how it is.

I agree you should feel and look how you want I'd concert rate more on personality before body image

@elizabeth01 you are so right. it is whats on the inside that really counts in my book.
