So I'm living off of NuGo bars and oddly enough didn't have

So I'm living off of NuGo bars and oddly enough didn't have to take a nap today. I'm tired but not drained to the point that I couldn't get out of bed. Can it really only take less than a week to start feeling a difference? I was in bed most of last week but woke up feeling more energized today. My stomach still isn't great and my body hurts like hell but I was able to get things done. I see a nutritionist in a few days to figure out what else I can really eat. I refused to obsess over food. I'm trying to focus on what I can eat and forget what I can't. The hubby was a little upset with me when I donated all of our food. I'm not making two separate meals for me, him, and five children. Everyone else has the option to eat whatever they want at school and work. I only make dinner during the week
So they'll be fine

Welcome to Sg. I so understand this condition and it does make it so hard to eat. You just let your family know that you can't do it all and yes you have to watch what you eat. They should be supportive they do not live with this condition. Stay strong my friend xo

I also agree I am not making all these meals for everyone. My hardest part of celiac is the going out to eat and at family parties. I'm sick of people saying oh just alittle won't hurt you ,you had this for so long and we're fine... but I wasnt fine and im sick of having to explain myself or be the weird one who gets looked at for saying no i cant have that. I'm frustrated and honestly I don't like to stand out anywhere especially with food or drinks. I do have to say with all my other issues going on in my marriage right now at least we are having normal conversation about gluten free food. lol I feel like that kind of saved us by my diagnosis. we are at least talking even if it is about GF

@darah They don’t get it when we can’t eat certain things they are not the ones to pay the price for it.
