well, i can say that---music is my BIGGEST anxeity reducer/ and also depression releiver. hmmmm gee--- i dont know exactly what music you like but 'Beautiful" by chritina aguleria (even though im not a fan of hers) or 'Cant take that away from me" by mariah carey or 'Hero' by mariah carey..or 'Break away' by kelly clarkson....or Your Love is My love--Whitney Houston...
my question is are you looking for inspiration lyrics or just fun music? cuz a lot fo music of today the lyrics are kinda----well more on the party side, but i listen to that if im down, also. i kinda wished music --popular music was deeper , more poetic in lyrics than they are now.
ok ive always liked the band "Garbage" from the 1990's but i think that may be too depressing or melancholy for you if your down.

I like everything. I'm a big simon&garfunkel fan and anything classic is good. The radio gets boring when you've heard the same things over and over again. I'm not looking for any particular type of music just music. Exploring different types of music is my stress reliever!! Thanks so much for your input!!! :) Sonrisas

special----wow what a cool list( i see you are a music lover like me, ha)for me--- i like everything--form opera, to classical, to the 80's 90's 50's 60's 70's and even 30's and 20's --especially the 40's where romance was big...to rap to soul to alternative and rock...
i do love the 90's music cuz that when i grew up/ my teen years and such and the 2000's well, it has been ok but like you said, im tired of the popular music only being about outrageous sex and party music. yes i still listen to it, ha --but i wish popular music was more--lyrically poetic or meaingful.
i would suggest--'fallin for you' or 'bubbly' or 'oxygen' by colbie cait---is that her name?--i dont quite know....
or 'disturbia' by rhianna cuz those lyrics really remind me of ED mindset..it is a creepy song but u can relate to it.
im trying to think of some lyrially meaninful music of today--you know not a thing pops in my head? it is all so over sachrinned out. i mean, i listen to it, but i dont like the lyrics....ugh....

Agreed I always change the station. I am the same way though, if i need energy or to get pumped up sometimes those types of songs help. However the poetic side of music is just what makes it worth listening too half the time. The way these artists can relate things to one another. It is just stunningly beautiful. PATD's "When the Day Met the Night" is a good one. The lyrics make me want to cry, its just beautiful. Just talking about music makes me so happy. Thanks everyone for making my day do a 180!

But I hate when they over play it, or any song really. It ruins the music.
For instance yesterday, every time I went in the car, the song in question was playing..It got annoying.

hey , no ones opinion is ever WRONG just so you know , and i like EM and rhianna it is just that they take one song and kill it, and it takes away from the song. it s like say--- i love mexican food but i wouldnt eat it every day(for obvious reasons! ha) or maybe--if i could -i would ? i dont know, but ha --everyone should feel the right to their opinion and that persons opinion is never wrong--it is just how they feel...

I agree with the poetic lyrics Sonrisas, but unfortunately PATD broke up :( ...there still is a PATD but it only has half the members...the other two started their own band called The Young Veins, who actually came out with a new album. It's not my favourite though, but give it a listen :)
