Still on my workout high

so i never knew how great you could feel after running or how long it could last. i have been running slowly for over 6 months and not doing anything crazy. i signed up for a half marathon as a goal and thought it would be something crazy to do. i have always hated running, but really want to be in shape and healthy so just started doing it. i ran my first 13.1 miles this past weekend and actually ran the whole time… never in my life did i think i could do that. i also couldn’t believe how good i felt that whole day, the next day and day after, i swear i was on a running high. i took a few days off to rest cause i read that you should not work out for 72 hours then take it slow for a week or so afterwards. but i’m ready to start slowly working out again and get back into a routine of running a couple of times a week because of how good this made me feel. i also am going to sign up for another race to keep me motivated with my workouts.

Congratulations! It's an amazing feeling when for the mojority of your life you have believed you were not one of "those people" who could run a marathon...and now you've completely proven yourself wrong and shown yourseld what your body is capable of.

Well done

thank you thank you! for it the mental challenge was a lot bigger cause there were parts where i really wanted to give up, so i was happy that i powered through that. it was definitely one of the hardest things that i have done.
