Dr. John B. Hudson and Diana Truex-Ives, A.R.N.P.,-BC are skilled in treating ailments ranging from thecommon cold to chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
Dr. John Hudson was born in Kentucky. He has lived in Florida for over 60 years. He is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Medical Association.
He graduated medical school in 1973 from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He did his Internship program at Jackson Memorial Hospital from 1973 until 1974. He then did his Residency at Hollywood Memorial Hospital from 1974 until 1976.
After his Residency, Dr. Hudson served in the Navy at the Naval Training Center in Orlando from 1976 until 1978.
He started his solo Family Practice medical office in 1978 in Winter Park, Florida and has been here ever since. Providing medical care to generations of families.
Dr. Hudson is often praised by his patients for his medical thoroughness and the amount of time he spends with each patient. He reviews the patient’s medical history to aid him in treating the whole patient, not just the acute problem. His patients appreciate the amount of time he takes with them.
His belief in the medical benefits of vitamins and supplements to help improve a patient’s health and condition reflect the holistic side of his care.

Diana Truex-Ives joined the practice in May 2010. Diana brings an abundance of knowledge and experience to our practice.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree in 1979 from Oneonta State College in Oneonta, New York; an Associates of Nursing degree in 1984 from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York; a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2002 and her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2004 both from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.
In addition to her educational credentials, she is also Board Certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner, a member of the Florida Nurses Association, an active board member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and served as President of the Central Florida Advance Practitioner Council from 2008 until 2009. In addition to these, she was also nominated for the University of Central Florida Award for Excellence in 2004.
Among the highlights in her career is the 6+ years of experience in Family Practice / Primary Care. In addition, she has 20 years of nursing experience to include emergency medicine, pediatrics, labor and delivery and case management.
When she is away from our office, Diana volunteers her time at Shepherd’s Hope, a medical clinic for low-income patients. She enjoys swimming and biking.
Her many years of medically treating patients in an acute care setting and her outstanding medical education allow her to provide the highest level of medical care to our patients.
