Teens using i-dosing to get high

This morning I was reading about the new drug in town - Idozer or also I-doser. Teens use 'i-dosing' to get high from online tones. They are listening to online music and tones that they say can cause a drug-like state of euphoria. They plug into what they call "i-dosers" by putting on headphones and downloading music and tones that create a supposed drug-like euphoria. The technology is designed to combine a tone in each ear to create a binaural beat designed to alter brainwaves.

I asked my youngest daughter who is 16 and a couple of her friends about this. She had a couple of teen friends stay over last night. They at first gave me a look like what are you talking about. Then after some thought one of them said yeah, it's like listening to a beat that you enjoy hearing. You know like you have a favorite song and you listen to it because it puts you in a good mood. I was just talking with one of them last night who plays the violin. They play the violin beautifully. It truly is music to my ears. They played a song for me last night. I was in heaven listening to them play. Afterwards I shared with them about some of my favorite musical instruments I love to hear like the violin/fiddle, steel guitar, harmonica and bagpipes. So you could say we have all been i-dosing and not known it. hmmmm

My whole family is into music in one form or another (my mother - Judy Garland wannbe & did it very well) & I have always kept instilling it for all my family, my oldest 26 plays guitar for his 9mo. old son, it works magic every time. I always feel better happier.

April

music is only good if people can play/sing/etc

in our house its painful

we have grandson one and his drums nosiy but not tuneful

grandson two who has an electric guitar (base) and a whole two chords

the four year old and his violin (less said about that the better)

and the eighteen month old who has a recorder
(no notes at all) just a noise and scarlet cheeks

so i will take your word for it bluidkiti and april

but its meant to soothe the savage beast

as always

loving thoughts and positive vibes
