I am getting ready to discharge from a residential eating disorder facility. I am concerned that when I go home I will not be able to get the level of support that I need. I feel confident that I can follow my meal plan and practice my coping skills, but I still feel the need to have open communication about my process or just everyday life as it is in the real world. My husband is currently working two jobs so he is not there for meals or physical support. I know I tend to isolate and I do not know how or where to meet friends. I work with children with autism and so I do not get a lot of adult interaction while working. Is anyone willing to be part of my support network during my process and have me support them too?
Do not be afraid, in the beginning is always a little difficult, but you have enough knowledge and also you are strong and willing to continue this process. This site has wonderful people that will be happy to assist you. Wishing you a good progress, be happy and God bless you.
I'm absolutely here for you! Message me anytime!
Transition is not ever easy, but please use the skills you have been working on, and kudos to you for reaching out for what you need! I think if you try your best to emulate the schedule for eating that you had during treatment, that is your best defense..it will get easier....take care...Jan ♥
