This is my first time in an asthma support group. I've had asthma since childhood. It has been chronic the last few years....difficult to get used to.
Nice to hear from you Jayanna. I am somewhat better. What is frustrating though is I have to remain inactive because when I try to return to normal activities I become ill. How are you and how severe is your asthma?
@Pinkatha I wasn’t sure you got my message, because on my end, it wouldn’t show up! Well, as far as my asthma is concerned, I am often having to sit and use my nebulizer. Lately, it’s been around 4 times a day. My activities are so limited anymore. My doctor keeps trying to wean me off of the prednisone, but every time I get down to 5 mgs a day, it doesn’t take long until I have to do a burst and taper of the prednisone. Vicious cycle. I am on disability because of it. But l am close enough to being the age of getting social security any way. I would go back to work if I ever get well enough that I wouldn’t have to take off so much. I used to run an embroidery shop. Loved it. Now I just do a lot of sewing at home. Soooo, are you ok right now, or are you under the weather?
